Our initiatives on Health and Healthcare
Sunaina Samriddhi Foundation was founded on the belief that no one, no matter where they live, should die because they cannot access healthcare. We are committed to provide good quality and affordable primary healthcare to all undeserved in India.
Since our founding in 2014, our scope has expanded, but our objective remains the same: to save lives. We now work with governments, donors, and other partners on more than 20 programs in India. Our programs aim to save lives and reduce disease, while helping governments create sustainable health systems. We operate 20 programs across four health areas, with a Experience team of science, business, and technical experts supporting the entire organization.
Our philosophy of prioritising social well-being of communities is deeply ingrained in our organisational values. We strive to create access to healthcare for all and support local communities by empowering them through initiatives in the areas of education, awareness about community health & hygiene and clinical support. We believe that by addressing the broader needs of society, we can create a positive impact beyond the confines of our healthcare facilities.
The Foundation believes in leaving no one behind as it moves forward. It focuses on including communities in healthcare awareness programmes, providing quality healthcare to economically weaker sections, fostering societal well-being, and equipping its people and partners to help realize aspirations responsibly. The Foundation seeks to bring focus to community welfare through our initiatives.
Wellness on Wheels
Sunaina Samriddhi Foundation in collaboration with 10 Hospital has launched the healthcare initiative, ‘Wellness on Wheels’, a mobile healthcare screening bus offering free diagnostic services to all communities.
The mobile screening bus & ambulance will travel on a weekly basis in Gorakhpur and adjoining districts including rural and urban areas providing beneficiaries with access to an array of free services including blood analysis, urine analysis, HBA1C, and doctor consultations. The primary goal of this initiative is to bring quality healthcare services to all regardless of their economic background.
Promoting Holistic Wellness Through Naturopathy and Alternative Medicine‘
We are providing dedicated to providing accessible, natural, and holistic healthcare solutions to underserved communities. Our initiatives in Naturopathy and Acupressure Therapy focus on addressing health concerns while promoting overall wellness and disease prevention.
Naturopathy empowers individuals to achieve self-healing through a balanced diet, regular exercise, and effective stress management, addressing both physical and mental well-being. Acupressure Therapy targets specific pressure points to alleviate pain, stress, and digestive issues without the use of medication, offering a gentle, drug-free approach to healthcare.
In the last financial year, over 3800 beneficiaries received personalized treatments and consultations, addressing a wide range of health concerns, including occupational health issues. In addition to treatment, the program emphasizes preventive care and patient education, equipping individuals with the knowledge and tools to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Ambulance Services
An ambulance service plays a critical role in saving lives by providing immediate medical assistance to the critically ill. We have deployed several ambulances across various locations in Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh . The ambulances ensure that critically ill patients from underprivileged backgrounds get immediate medical care, through linkages with hospitals.
This project had the maximum impact in 2021 as the public struggled to reach hospitals and medical facilities during the second wave of Covid. Six ambulances were deployed for emergency evacuation of patients to nearby hospitals. The ambulances not only ensured emergency evacuation of patients to nearby hospitals but also distributed oxygen cylinders and oxygen concentrators to the Covid-affected families across Purvanchal.
Supporting Cataract Surgeries for the Underserved Communities
Cataracts are a leading cause of bilateral blindness in India, responsible for 50-80% of cases. Limited awareness, accessibility, and high costs make treatment challenging for individuals from urban and rural slums. To address this issue, Sunaina Samriddhi Foundation and 3 Eye Hospital have joined hands to provide free cataract surgery, enabling vision restoration. Through this initiative, 300 successful cataract surgeries have been performed for rural beneficiaries in Purvanchal,Uttar Pradesh.
Distribution of medical and safety equipment and monetary donations
To save lives during the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sunaina Samriddhi Foundation focused on providing an uninterrupted supply of oxygen to the needy. 100 Oxygen concentrators and 40 cylinders were circulated through our network of ambulances in Purvanchal. The oxygen concentrators and oxygen cylinders have been provisioned at the COVID-19 facilities for use both within the facility and circulation to the needy through our network of ambulances.
We provided COVID-19 medical and safety equipment to the government to augment healthcare facilities for impacted communities. A state-of-the-art CT scan machine has been donated to the Civil Hospitals. Additionally, ventilators and 500 oximeters were handed over to the 8 CoviD Hospitals.
Health Screening Camps Purvanchal Region
Sunaina Samriddhi Foundation has collaborated with 23 nearby Hospitals for a series of Health Screening Camps in Purvanchal. These health screening camps are organized for the general public and labourers to promote regular health check-ups and provide quality healthcare to the underserved. Tests are conducted to check blood pressure, blood sugar levels, liver functionality (SGOT and SGPT) and ECG. Around 634 beneficiaries have been provided healthcare through this initiative.
Health Screening Camps
Continuing its commitment to healthcare, We organizes free health camps, where preventive and diagnostic testing is conducted, along with requisite consultations & provision of basic medicines to the marginalised. The camps screen for all ailments to assess the overall health of the patients. Some of the tests conducted include lipid profile, diabetes, thyroid and kidney function, liver function, etc. among others. Health camps are organised at multiple locations benefitting the unorganised labour and migrant workers.
The health camps are impactful for many beneficiaries who have underlying health issues which have gone either unnoticed or were ignored. Till now, the health camps have reached out to over 2000 beneficiaries.
