WHY HEALTHCARE
With a population of more than 1.4 Billion, last-mile delivery of healthcare in our country is a big challenge. The geospatial diversity of the country further aggravates the issues of accessibility and availability of healthcare in difficult terrains. With more than 65% of the population residing in rural areas with a smaller share of the overall healthcare infrastructure, and the urban slum dwellers prioritising everyday survival over healthcare, uneven distribution and lack of awareness also limit the uptake of existing healthcare services. It is crucial to address these gaps to meet the goals of Universal Health Coverage and support Govt of India’s vision of Ayushman Bharat.
Last mile delivery of healthcare is always challenging in a country as vast and diverse as India. The uneven distribution of healthcare infrastructure, as well as medical professionals, makes quality healthcare services inaccessible to a large population living in rural areas. Urban slum dwellers, on the other hand, suffer from lack of awareness, adverse living conditions and the unwillingness to lose a day’s wage in order to reach the nearest medical facility.
With an aim to strengthen the country’s existing healthcare system and reduce out-of-pocket expenses on health, Our various initiative are taking quality healthcare services to the doorstep of vulnerable communities, with focus on women and children. Awareness activities like school health camps and street plays are also conducted to encourage children and community to adopt a health seeking behaviour.
Sunaina Samriddhi Foundation is deeply committed to providing leadership on issues critical to health, maintaining partnerships as appropriate, adhering to the norms and standards set by the government, supporting research work, promoting ethical and evidence-based treatment, delivering technical assistance, organizing funds, facilitating change, constructing viable institutional capacity, observing the health condition, and evaluating health trends.
Rural India would always be the backbone of the nation and wellbeing of rural India would always be based on a healthy and caring medical infrastructure. We want to be recognized as the benchmark in rural healthcare services in the future. Help us to serve you.
